1st XI v New Hall

Felsted Won by 76 runs
Felsted 170-9 (Foley 35, Malins 30, Hussain 29)
New Hall 94 all out (Foley 5-25)

Felsted posted an excellent 170-9 in their 20 overs and will be a little disappointed they didn’t score more after a ill disciplined completion to the innings saw wickets fall. New Hall stuck to the task in this warm up 20/20 match prior to the National Competition starting on Sunday for Felsted. The batsman all got starts at the top of the order and although someone should have gone on to score a 70/80, it allowed all the team a chance in the middle. New Hall started their reply in some style and the openers put Price and Burns to the sword as they missed their lengths on the day. At 70-1 from 8 overs it was a surprise to see them fall away so sharply to 94 all out, but the introduction of spin found New Hall struggle and Jake Foley after an indifferent first over, made life tough for the batsmen. The game has highlighted some areas to work on for Sunday and with Bedford wanting an ICC 50 overs game on Saturday, it was good preparation for limited overs cricket.
